Horton Vineyards

Horton Vineyards

A leader in viticultural innovation, Horton Vineyards has been growing southern France-originating and other European varietals since 1988. Horton’s winemaking approach begins with his discovery that the Viognier grape of France’s Rhone Valley, having thick skin and growing in loose clusters, is among those best-suited to thrive in Virginia’s humidity. Site attractions include an underground winery with spectacular stone cellars, a tasting room under a vaulted ceiling, and an overlook of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
