Stone Mountain Vineyards
At an elevation of 1,700 ft., Stone Mountain Vineyards is one of the highest in all of Virginia. Founded by vintner Alfred “Al” W. Breiner and his son Chris Breiner, Stone Mountain is currently under its third generation of family management, with Al’s five granddaughters sharing the run of winemaking operations, since Chris’ unexpected passing in 2012, to produce powerful, fruit-centered wine. Featuring an expansive deck overlooking the valley, Stone Mountain Vineyards also offers winery and wine cave tours during their Spring and Fall open houses, and frequently hosts live music throughout the year.
